Andrea Queens is a beautifully versatile artist. A Performer, Creative, Founder and Director of AQ Arts London.
Born in Great Britain, Andrea graduated from Middlesex University (UK) and Broadway Dance Centre (New York, USA), where she embodied a wide range of dance styles. Passionate about dance styles of the African diaspora, Andrea’s dance focus includes, jazz, contemporary, dancehall, African, hip hop, commercial dance and capoeira. Andrea is also pioneering the unique and heart racing style of Afro Jazz dance in the UK. Other styles studied and performed include Tap, House, English folk, contact improvisation, freestyle, harness and silks.
Embarking on her vocal journey, training in jazz, gospel, pop and musical theatre with vocal coaches both in London and New York. To date Andrea has worked as a backing vocalist, cover lead vocalist and a featured lyricist and singer for The Spark organisation.
Poetically Andrea has also performed and written for various arts companies including England’s leading poetry organisation, Apples and Snakes.
Thriving in performance, experienced in the theatre, corporate and commercial sectors.
With a passion for crossing arts and the ability to create and deliver enchanting work in these three art forms has lead to Andrea’s artistry and stagecraft being praised by many, recognised internationally supported and funded by the Arts Council England, Brent Council, Sports England, Active New You, The Blue Elephant Theatre and Space NW10.
