HAY Harrow 2025 Report

HAY Harrow 2025 Report amplifies children’s and teens’ voices, delivering clear insights on their health, identity, safety, aspirations, and the support they receive. New demographic layers—such as SEND status, caring duties, and first language—make the findings even more inclusive.

HAY Harrow (How Are You) is a borough-wide youth voice survey designed to listen to the experiences, needs, and aspirations of children and young people growing up in Harrow. Now in its third year, HAY Harrow is built on a collaborative model that brings together schools, charities, the public sector, and community partners to gather insight and inform collective action.

7,963young people aged 9-18 answered the 2025 HAY Harrow Needs Analysis.

Here is a snapshot of life in Harrow for young people:

  • 90% say they feel safe at home all the time.
  • 75% of young people say they feel loved.
  • 48% of non‑binary respondents “often” feel depressed.
  • 45% of KS2 pupils meet the daily activity target.
  • 33% of KS2 students had seen someone else being bullied.
  • 21% of young carers feel unsupported in considering future options.
  • 17% of all young people feel anxious or nervous.
