Hospital admissions are rising and we fear deaths will follow. New restrictions have been introduced, but unfortunately some people are still not observing the 'Hands, Face, Space' guidance, which is vital.
Together, we need to reverse this upward trend.
From the new NHS Covid-19 app, to extra support for those self-isolating and new enforcement powers, the sections below should help you understand our new normal.
As always, if you get any coronavirus symptoms (a high temperature, a new and continuous cough, or a loss of or change to your sense of smell or taste), you must self-isolate and get tested. Only leave home to get a test.
A mobile testing unit will again be available at Harrow Civic Centre next Monday and Thursday – tests are by appointment only and bookable online at nhs.uk/coronavirus or by calling 119.
Please only book a test if you have symptoms – they are not for people who show no symptoms or who have been in contact with someone who has tested positive. There is a very high demand for tests – please help us make sure they are available for those who really need them. If you need a test and are not offered one nearby, please keep trying – new slots are usually made available in the early evening for the next morning and at the beginning of the working day for the afternoon sessions.
It is so important we act responsibly to control the virus to protect ourselves, our loved ones and our communities – thank you for doing your bit to help keep Harrow safe.
