Spring is almost here and so is HAF: Free Easter holiday clubs open for booking in Harrow

The programme is open to children and young people from Reception to Year 11 who receive benefits-related Free School Meals. Every programme offers children a free nutritious meal.

Families eligible for benefits-related FSM in Harrow can now book free Easter holiday activities and meals for their children through the Holiday Activities and Food (HAF) Programme at https://youngharrowfoundation.org/projects/hafactivities

The programme is funded by the Department for Education, and delivered locally by Harrow Council in partnership with the Young Harrow Foundation. It is open to children and young people from Reception to Year 11 who receive benefits-related Free School Meals. Every programme offers children a free nutritious meal.

What's on this Easter?

Across Harrow, children can choose from more than 20 activities, including:

  • An Easter-themed playscheme (7–10 April) with Easter egg design, fruit art, pizza making, sports and an Easter party.
  • A music programme, Backstage to Centre Stage (31 March, 1, 8 and 9 April), where young people explore songwriting, vocal coaching, music production and stage presence.
  • A Woodland Holiday Camp (7–10 April) with nature scavenger hunts, den building, and arts and crafts.
  • A performing arts camp with Fresh Arts C.I.C (30 March–2 April) covering singing, dance, drama and creative workshops.

Thanks to ongoing support from the DVS Foundation, additional spaces are also available for families who need this provision.

Dan Burke, CEO of Young Harrow Foundation, said:

"The return of the HAF programme this Easter is important for many families in Harrow, particularly as the school holidays can bring additional financial pressure. Much of the programme is delivered by trusted local organisations who understand the needs of their communities. In Harrow, it’s also a genuinely collaborative effort, with Harrow Council, the voluntary sector and local funders working together to deliver a high-quality programme and extend the offer beyond the core provision.”
