Victoria Hall’s New Chapter: A Community Space Reimagined

In the heart of Harrow Town Centre, Victoria Hall is emerging as one of the borough’s most dynamic community spaces. With new leadership and a renewed vision, the venue is evolving from a traditional hireable hall into an active and engaged partner in making a local impact.

From mentoring sessions to roundtables, and youth clubs to choir rehearsals, Victoria Hall is becoming an integral part of daily life in Harrow. It has long been a valued venue for our events, and our partnership with the team has continued to strengthen, built on a shared commitment to youth and community development and the personal connections with the staff and venue.

We spoke with Troy Norbert, the CEO of Victoria Hall, about the journey so far and what lies ahead.

From local roots to local leadership

"Having grown up in Harrow and faced my own set of challenges, it fuels my unwavering desire to support our community's success in every aspect of life – from school and work to overall well-being.”

This personal experience shapes Troy's vision. Since he became CEO in November 2024, he has prioritised a partnership-first approach, building connections with local organisations and amplifying the voices of residents and grassroots leaders. The result? In just a few months, occupancy by voluntary and community groups has increased by 38%.

Impact in motion

Here’s an overview of regular activities taking place at Victoria Hall with YHF members and other local community organisations:

  • Nisaba (Yoga) – Mondays, 11:00 AM
  • Rethink Mental Illness, More than Just A Choir – Tuesdays, 6:30 PM
  • Evolve (for ages 18–25) – Tuesdays, 7:30 PM
  • Girls Youth Club with Ignite Youth – Tuesdays, 4:00 PM
  • Mashal (support for young people who have recently moved to the UK) – Wednesdays, 7:00 PM
  • Resourceful Women’s Network – Thursdays, 1:00 PM

This is just a glimpse of the activity happening in the space every week.

A space with purpose

Victoria Hall’s approach is firmly rooted in the belief that working collaboratively leads to better outcomes for everyone. They’re not only offering affordable space — they’re actively seeking partnerships and providing tailored support to help local organisations grow their impact. This includes special rates for long-term bookings, one-to-one advice, and a commitment to removing barriers for grassroots groups across the borough.

That outward focus is complemented by a refreshed trustee board and a new community strategy, which together reinforce a strong foundation for inclusive, community-led growth.

Get involved

Victoria Hall is open to new partnerships, new ideas, and new ways of working together. If you're looking for space to deliver impactful community work — and a team who truly believes in your mission — Victoria Hall is ready to welcome you.
