Near Neighbours Small Grants

Near Neighbours brings people together from communities that are religiously and ethnically
diverse, so that they can get to know each other better, build relationships of trust and
collaborate on initiatives that improve the local community they live in.

To be eligible for one of the small grants, the project should meet the following criteria :

BRINGING PEOPLE TOGETHER

The project should bring together peoples of two or more different faiths and/or ethnicities, to build friendships and develop relationships of trust.

WORKING LOCALLY

We want to see people who are living very locally (i.e. in the same street, estate or neighbourhood) come together.

WORKING SUSTAINABLY

We want to see long term and natural relationships grow, that will last beyond the period of funding.

IMPROVING THE COMMUNITY

We want to see people working to make their communities a better place to live.

COMMITTING TO DIVERSITY

Projects should involve diverse people, from more than one faith group and/or ethnicity, in the planning and implementation.

TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR A SMALL GRANT, PROJECTS MUST OPERATE IN A COMMUNITY SERVED BY ONE OF THE LOCAL HUBS.

West London is a hub and this does cover parts of Harrow: South Harrow, Roxeth, Harrow Weald & Wealdstone.

If you think your project fits the criteria, before looking at the application form, speak with your local Near Neighbours Coordinator about your idea. They are in place to support you and help you apply. Contact details can be found here.

Once all the information has been submitted, decisions will hopefully be sent out within 14 days.
