At 1 in 10 Dyslexia, our mission is to create a level playing field for all children across the UK by providing early diagnosis, intervention, and tailored training.

By strategically funding the training of SENCOs and organising specialised professional development for teachers, 1 in 10 Dyslexia is taking significant steps to improve support for students with dyslexia. Ensuring these initiatives are well-planned, effectively implemented, and continuously supported will maximise their impact and pave the way for future expansion.

Despite recommendations in 2009 to have dyslexia specialist teachers in every school, this initiative has not been fully implemented or evaluated. Our school pilot aims to address this gap by examining the impact of trained dyslexia specialists in classrooms.
