Flash Musicals Youth Theatre
About Organisation
Since opening its doors in April 1997, Flash Musicals has been lighting up lives in Edgware. Founded by Terry and Debbie Revill, the organisation began with a powerful mission: to make performing arts accessible to children from low-income and disadvantaged families. Today, Flash Musicals is a proud voluntary youth organisation and registered charity (No. 1094205), offering a creative lifeline to young people across the community.
In April 2005 with opened our own space - The Flash Musicals Youth Theatre – the first theatre in Edgware. In an area previously lacking in youth services and community facilities, the theatre has become a vibrant hub for creativity, learning, and local connection.
From this dedicated space, Flash Musicals runs a wide range of workshops in singing, dancing, and acting. Our inclusive programmes help young people discover their talents, build confidence, and express themselves in ways that are both fun and meaningful.
We work closely with local police and crime prevention teams to use the arts as a tool for positive change, and we partner with local government to make sure all children and young people can access our services, regardless of their circumstances.
Over the years, the Flash family has grown – and so has our offer. We now run Flash Kids Nursery, wheelchair dancing sessions, additional needs workshops, Tae Kwon Do classes, a popular Musical Theatre Workshop, a Foodbank, Film Club, Lunch Clubs, and even a Media Suite and Recording Studio.
