HARROW ST MARYS YOUTH FOOTBALL CLUB

Our Club, Our Community, Our Future

Harrow St Marys Youth Football Club has been at the heart of the local community for more than 40 years, providing children, young people and families with opportunities to enjoy football, develop new skills and build lasting friendships.

Throughout our history, thousands of young people have walked through the doors of our clubhouse, trained on our pitches and proudly represented Harrow St Marys in one of our teams. For generations of local families, the club has become much more than a place to play football — it is a place where children feel welcome, supported and part of something special.

Based at Harrow Recreation Ground on Roxborough Road, our club continues to provide accessible grassroots football for children and young people of different ages and abilities. We are committed to ensuring that football remains affordable, inclusive and enjoyable, giving every child the opportunity to participate, regardless of their previous experience or ability.

SATURDAY SOCCER SCHOOL

One of the growing parts of our club is our Saturday Soccer School, designed to introduce our younger members to football in a fun, relaxed and encouraging environment.

The Soccer School currently attracts an average of 30 children every week and continues to grow through word of mouth and the positive experiences of the children and families who attend.

Our sessions focus on fundamental football skills, coordination, confidence, teamwork and, most importantly, having fun. We want children to develop a love for football from an early age while building friendships and becoming comfortable within a team environment.

A FAMILY CLUB

At the heart of Harrow St Marys is our friendly, welcoming and family-orientated atmosphere.

We believe that grassroots football should be about more than winning matches. It should be about giving children the opportunity to grow in confidence, develop positive relationships, learn how to work as part of a team and understand the importance of respect and fair play.

Our aim is to create a safe, positive and enjoyable footballing environment where every player feels valued. Whether a child is taking their first steps into football or has aspirations to progress further within the game, we want them to feel that Harrow St Marys is a club where they belong.

DEVELOPING PLAYERS AND DEVELOPING PEOPLE

Our football programme places a strong emphasis on developing technical ability, confidence and good character.

We encourage our players to learn through participation and to enjoy the game while developing important life skills such as communication, teamwork, discipline, resilience and respect.

As a club, we work in line with the FA Respect principles, promoting fair play, good sportsmanship and positive behaviour. We recognise that every player's contribution matters and celebrate involvement, effort, improvement and performance, rather than focusing solely on results.

We want our young people to leave every session feeling that they have achieved something — whether that is learning a new skill, scoring their first goal, making a new friend, supporting a teammate or simply having the confidence to try something new.

THE PEOPLE BEHIND THE CLUB

None of what Harrow St Marys has achieved over more than four decades would be possible without our incredible volunteers, coaches, managers and families.

Our club is built on people who give their time freely because they believe in the positive difference grassroots football can make to children and the wider community.

From organising teams and running training sessions to maintaining facilities, supporting events and helping behind the scenes, our volunteers play an essential role in keeping the club moving forward.

We are incredibly proud of the dedication and commitment shown by everyone who has contributed to Harrow St Marys over the years. Their passion has helped create a club that generations of young people have been able to enjoy.

LOOKING TO THE FUTURE

While we are proud of our history, our focus is firmly on the future.

We want Harrow St Marys to continue to be a place where children can play, families can connect and young people can thrive. We will continue to develop our football programmes, encourage greater participation and create more opportunities for children and young people within our community.

Our vision is simple: to provide football for everyone in a safe, friendly and inclusive environment while helping young people develop both as players and as individuals.

After more than 40 years, Harrow St Marys remains committed to the same principles that have shaped the club from the beginning — community, participation, respect, inclusion and a genuine love of football.
