KCA (Kids Can Achieve)
About Organisation
Our purpose
Is to provide services for children and young adults with special needs and disabilities which offer the same opportunities that all children should enjoy. We work to ensure the children we support, and their families are safe, happy, and healthy.
We support children and young adults with learning disabilities, including those with physical disabilities, ADHD, autism, and complex communication needs. We provide child centred activities, which are fun, educational, and stimulating, offering learning and development at every opportunity.
Values
Kindness, Choice, and Ambition. These are central to our strengths-based, person-centred practice. Our values are not abstract ideals but practical commitments that guide every aspect of our service: how we support children, engage families, train staff, and design our environments.
Kindness
Kindness means treating every child with empathy, patience, and understanding. When we respond with curiosity and care, children feel safe, valued, and ready to grow and learn.
Choice
Choice means giving every child the chance to express themselves and make decisions in ways that work for them. By offering options and celebrating their choices, we help children build confidence, independence, and a strong sense of self.
Ambition
Ambition means believing in every child’s potential and celebrating their progress. We adapt what we do so each child can take part, learn through play, and reach their own goals in meaningful ways.
Together, these values form the foundation of our strengths-based approach. They ensure that our work with children is not focused on deficits or diagnosis, but on possibilities, relationships, and the belief that every child deserves the chance to flourish in their own way.
Our Services
We run a variety of activities for children aged 5 and up including 1:1 support & community based support, holiday clubs, after school and Saturday club, creative therapy & counselling.
We also offer a free family support service to parents of children with disability related needs, aged up to 25 years living in Harrow. Families will not be turned away because their needs are too complex.
