About Organisation

SCEA promotes young children’s creativity through arts and folklore activities. We run after school homework club to promote school achievement among the BME communities as well as offering entertainment during holidays or school terms activity for children from low income householders.

SCEA‘s aim is to help children achieve Harrow/National average competence level in the key core subjects and the advancement of the education particularly of members of the Somali community in Harrow and other ethnic groups

Harrow Somali supplementary school established in 1998 and we have continued to organise classes for young students and sports during weekends.

Our objectives are

  • The provision of language and literacy classes
  • Promotion of educational, cultural and social needs of members of the Somalis and other ethnic groups
  • Participation in integrated activities (exp. Museums LONDON, sciences and heritage places to promote after school homework club.
  • Provide extra support opportunities to Somali school children in their formal school

Provide advocacy and support to Somali community to improve their access to mainstream services and minimize any gaps arising from language, ethnicity or cultural barriers.
