About Organisation

Our organisation focuses on children, women and large families from the Romanian culture helping them so that everyone can thrive and succeed in this difficult economic climate that we find ourselves in.

Steps to Success Academy / Pas cu Pas was set up in May 2016 for educational purposes mainly providing tailored courses to children and adults and doing paralegal services on demand.

Faced with the Coronavirus in 2020, we acknowledged the needs of the community and stepped in becoming a major point for help, guidance, signposting to other organisations, working closely with the local authorities in North West London, providing and sourcing out food and deliveries, making sure that emotional, wellbeing and educational needs of the children and their families are met and creating strong ties with the community we serve.

  • We managed to do 10 holiday kids clubs from 5 -16 years old with the amazing support of the Young Harrow Foundation and other young people activities with the help of JLC.
  • We started with 35 children at our first club edition and after that, we enrolled about 100 children for each club session.
  • Also due to the strong network of support of volunteers and parents, we gave out endless tones of food during the pandemic to hundreds of families, monthly. This part of work still carries on today although we face many challenges.

We expanded in terms of projects and activities and we are continuing to work tirelessly to teach and empower children and create a strong voice for women through the work we do building on their confidence.

  • Our kids are all bilingual and many of them trilingual.
  • As there is a huge population of Romanians overseen in London, we try to meet their strong demands for support.
  • We are extremely proud to announce that our hard work has not gone unnoticed, being awarded several times.

Recognition from the Romanian Embassy twice in the 6 years.

Twice awarded by the Faith and Belief Community Forum. The Awards being handed in by His Majesty’s Lord Lieutenant of Greater London, Sir Ken Olisa for helping during the pandemics with the Food Bank in Nov 2021 and in Nov 2022, Steps to Success has been awarded for Investing in Young people and making tremendous contribution to their childhood.

We will be more than happy to come and help your school if you have any Romanian children that need any kind of support or language support.

Our founder of the organisation is a QTS holder, a senior experience teacher with middle management experience across from KS1-KS5 and senior management studies. She is fully aware of all the challenges that schools might be facing.
