The Deo Duce Foundation
The Deo Duce Foundation was formally established in 2020 as a charitable collaboration between past pupils of the Salvatorian College and Old Salvatorians Football Club. Our aims are focused on the educational and well-being needs of young people aged typically 25 or under in the Harrow area, and we support a variety of projects to help them achieve their potential. Strengthening Dyslexia Support in Harrow: Deo Duce and Harrow School in Partnership
In 2025, Harrow School and the Deo Duce Foundation each contributed £2,000 to develop a new dyslexia training programme for schools — an initiative that is now transforming classroom practice across the borough.
Their investment enabled the national charity 1 in 10 Dyslexia to collaborate with St Teresa’s Catholic Primary School, Harrow’s Dyslexia Hub, and Young Harrow Foundation to co-design Making the Invisible Visible: a high-quality, practical training course that equips teachers with the skills to identify better and support dyslexic learners. Through this innovative partnership model, the programme was designed with both national expertise and local insight, ensuring it meets the real needs of Harrow’s schools.
The impact has been significant and far-reaching. To date, 14 schools and over 400 staff have taken part, improving early identification, boosting teacher confidence, and supporting thousands of pupils through more inclusive classroom strategies. Young Harrow Foundation played a key role in brokering partnerships, coordinating delivery, and connecting the course into existing local CPD systems to ensure sustainability. Thanks to Harrow School and Deo Duce’s investment, the training is now embedded within the Hub provision. It forms part of 1 in 10’s national offer, creating a legacy that will benefit young people well beyond the life of the grant. It’s a powerful example of how thoughtful donor support and strong partnership working can create meaningful, lasting change for children who learn differently.
