About Project
Fresh Arts wants to reach children in Harrow who are typically unable to access arts activities by bringing the arts into school. We have developed this programming because we believe that there are many children who are anxious about using their voices in class and sharing their opinions. We would like to work with those children to develop greater self-confidence through an arts-based programme.
There are two programmes:
- Act, Sing, Dance Programme is a programme where children get to explore different aspects of performing arts with professional artists leading them to explore their creativity, grow in confidence and self-esteem and perform at the end of term. This can be run during the school day or as a free enrichment club.
- Chatterbox programme is a drama project to support oracy and speaking and listening skills in primary school children using drama games, poetry, drama, improvisation, devising and public speaking. This programme can be run during the school day for targeted groups of children who have English as an additional language or are newly arrived or for whole class groups or as an afterschool enrichment club. This project has been delivered in a Brent School for 5 years with great success.
These programmes will be delivered in Harrow Schools for children aged 4-11 in separate groups for infants and juniors.
We've worked with the following schools:

Pinner Wood School

West Lodge Primary School
