What
We aim to provide students with accessible opportunities to explore the cultural richness of Indian classical arts while meeting curriculum objectives, thereby fostering creativity, cultural appreciation, and physical well-being within the school environment.
- Dance workshops. Our Bharatanatyam dance workshops offer a full approach to physical and artistic growth. They align perfectly with the National Curriculum's goals. Students improve their physical abilities by paying precise attention to posture, alignment, and technical skills. These abilities include balance, coordination, and flexibility.
- Music workshops. In our music workshops, we aim to ignite a passion for music. We also aim to cultivate the talents of students. This fosters increased self-confidence, creativity, and a sense of achievement. By studying Karnatik music, a key part of southern Indian culture, students will understand its role in personal and group expression.
Srishti's esteemed workshop leaders lead. They are certified and have thorough DBS checks. Our workshops have a team of seasoned professionals. They have extensive training in dance and music.
This programme is being delivered at Harrow High School and Park High School. Contact the organisation to know how they can deliver the programme at your school.
Support the Arts Funding Programme
The vision of this programme is to involve all communities in arts and culture and to give those children and young people who are not engaging in performing arts the voice and power to help shape local arts provision. This programme is possible with the funding support of John Lyon's charity, Harrow School, the Voluntary Action Harrow (VAH) networks and the Harrow Culture Forum.
