What
Child & Young Person Bereavement Support
The loss of a parent, grandparent, sibling, close family member, or friend can be devastating for a child or young person. In an instant, their world may feel unfamiliar, lonely, and overwhelming. While no one can take away the pain of loss, the way a child is supported through grief can have a profound impact on their emotional well-being, both now and in the future.
Our Support Offer
We provide fully funded bereavement support sessions for children and young people from Reception age through to college.
- One-to-one or group sessions tailored to the child’s individual needs.
- Flexible locations – sessions can take place at school, at home, or at our office, depending on where the child or family feels most comfortable.
- Experienced & compassionate support – our volunteers are accredited or trainee counsellors with extensive experience working with children and young people.
- Creative, child-centred approach – we use play, art-based activities, and other creative methods to help children feel safe, supported, and able to express their emotions in a way that feels natural to them.
