Are you supporting children and young people who have experienced bereavement and want to feel more confident in helping them navigate their grief?
Bereavement Care, based in Harrow, offers this one-day training course designed to equip you with practical tools, insights, and strategies to support bereaved children and young people in your setting. Gain the confidence and skills to provide compassionate and effective support when it’s needed most.
Who is this for?
This course is designed for anyone who wishes to support bereaved children. Participants must be sponsored by a professional group or individual. (Please note: We are unable to accept applicants who have experienced a close bereavement within the past two years.)
Course Aim
To develop a deeper understanding of the emotional impact of bereavement on children and young people and explore effective ways to support them in their grief.
Learning Objectives
- Gain insight into the challenges faced by bereaved children and their families.
- Develop key skills for working with grieving children.
- Understand how to support bereaved children within educational settings.
- Learn how to use play and creative activities to facilitate grief work.
