What

Dance Movement Psychotherapy (DMP) sessions offer disabled young people a creative space to explore and understand their experiences in the world alongside the support of a skilled professional. The therapist works creatively to address anxieties and fears, and seeks opportunities to develop communication, confidence and overall enhanced wellbeing.

DMP is a creative arts psychotherapy approach which offers children and young people an opportunity to explore their inner world in a safe, reflective environment through dance, movement and the body. Sessions are 40-50 min long and are delivered by a qualified DMP. Each is clinically supervised by experienced, registered therapists. Sessions can take place at your child’s school or at one of our venues.

DMP Sessions are available for siblings too.
