What
Free training for youth workers on domestic abuse, coercive control, and supporting young people with disclosures in safe, informed ways. Join this engaging and practical training designed for youth and children’s workforce professionals who want to better understand and respond to domestic abuse and unhealthy relationships in young people’s lives.
Delivered by Tender Education & Arts, a leading prevention charity with over 20 years’ experience, this session uses creative and interactive approaches to explore sensitive topics in a safe and supportive way.
You’ll gain a deeper understanding of domestic abuse, coercive control, and the impact these experiences can have on children and young people—alongside practical tools you can apply in your day-to-day work.
Grounded in contextual safeguarding, this training will help you feel more confident supporting young people, particularly when disclosures arise in group settings.
In this session, you will:
- Build your knowledge of domestic abuse and sexual violence
- Learn how to identify and challenge unhealthy relationships
- Gain practical skills to respond to disclosures safely and appropriately
- Strengthen your confidence in signposting and safeguarding responses
All training is delivered by experienced facilitators qualified to Level 3 in Domestic Abuse Training, using creative, participatory methods that reflect Tender’s unique approach.
Who is this for?
This training is ideal for staff and volunteers working directly with children and young people, particularly in youth, community, and voluntary sector settings.
