We know that this must be a challenging time for you and your children, please ensure your safety and if you are in immediate danger please call 999. We know that it can and will be an extremely challenging time for some of you and we would urge you to seek support and not face your struggles, whatever they may be, alone. We are thinking of you during this difficult time.

What

During this time of uncertainty and Lockdown we know that the numbers of people experiencing Domestic Abuse is growing and we believe it is imperative to provide a safe and supported space for you to talk and share. ESM specialises in supporting those who have experienced or witnessed DA and in this time would like to offer you a space if you are struggling. Please make contact and let us know if you would like to join our online support group. Please know that you are not alone. Ensure you are safe and have a plan in place. If you are in immediate danger call 999. You can also call the National Domestic Abuse Helpline on 0800 2000 247, they are available 24/7. Self-isolation may aggravate pre-existing abusive behaviours by perpetrators. We know that you may be having to spend a lot more concentrated time with the perpetrator and may lose more freedom. This group has been created for adult survivors of Domestic Abuse, for those who have experienced or witnessed it in childhood and/or adulthood. Our aim is to support and empower your journey to recovery and freedom. This space is for those of you that want to and are ready to take the journey from Victim to Warrior! Our aim is to provide a safe and supported space for you to explore and confront the demons you may have been left with and to heal the emotional wounds. A space that can help you grow through your experiences and be heard, seen and validated, a space for you to be acknowledged and connect to those who understand your struggle. A space to challenge the beliefs, mindset and conditioning that may be holding you back from moving towards the life you truly deserve to live. We want to create a community that can raise awareness and create positive change for future generations by breaking the cycle of Domestic Abuse. Is this the space for you? Having experienced Domestic Abuse as children and then repeating these cycles as adults, we understand first-hand the support, determination, learning and hard work that is needed to break these cycles. We didn't even know we had experienced Domestic Abuse till we were adults and it is only through years of working on ourselves that we have been able to free ourselves of toxic relationships and the daily impact of all that we witnessed and experienced as children and then adults. Having supported thousands of children, young people and adults through this issue, we have come to realise the scale of Domestic Abuse is much bigger than we had ever imagined. It is present everywhere and without dedicated support and education the cycle cannot be broken. Domestic Abuse is a global epidemic which leaves a trail of devastating trauma that can last for generations. It affects millions of people globally and yet it is an issue which is still taboo and kept hidden. The saddest part of it all is that it is an issue which is preventable! We are here to give you a voice and remind you that you can change your future, it does not always have to be the way it has always been! The choice is yours!
