What

PLEASE NOTE - ESM will be moving this group to an online format to ensure that we can continue our invaluable Domestic Abuse support during this time of crisis. WITH THIS IN MIND WE HAVE CHANGED THE AGE RANGE TO 13-19. Now more than ever it is critical that we can continue to support our young people with consistency, through issues such as Domestic Abuse, which are on the rise. Not only do our young people face the complexities of dealing with a completely different daily reality but the most vulnerable are having to manage extremely challenging issues. If you would like to discuss referring a young person or consultancy to support young people you are currently working with please contact Ami or Ashley at admin@everystepmatters.co.uk Every Step Matters in partnership with Harrow Council is offering an 11-week group programme for children and young people aged 6-10 or 11-14 (approximately) who are, or have been, affected by domestic abuse. Our programme: • allows children and young people to tell their story • improves their confidence and self-esteem • builds resilience • gives each child who completes the programme a wonderful scrapbook/folder full of resources and tools to support their way into the future. Session 1 is a ‘meet and greet’ opportunity for all the children who have been referred and their main carers. It is essential the Parent/Carer attends this session. Sessions 2-11 are for children and young people only. Sessions will be held after school and the parent or carer must take responsibility for dropping off and collecting their child. Who can attend? This programme is open to ALL Harrow children with the exception of sibling groups. To refer a family: Referrers please contact Ami Dave at Every Step Matters on admin@everystepmatters.co.uk
