What

We want to reassure you that our services are still here to support you during this time. Please reach out if you are struggling, you do not need to suffer in silence. If you are experiencing or witnessing Domestic Abuse, Every Step Matters are here to give you a voice and a safe and confidential space, to share what you are experiencing, during this most challenging of times. During this difficult and unknown time, it is natural to feel all sorts of conflicting emotions and to feel lost, overwhelmed and alone. It is easy to forget to look after yourself and feel that your issues are not important in the face of what is happening. This could not be further from the truth! You matter and what you are going through is important. It is okay to ask for help and support when you need it. Please remember that love does not hurt and it never okay for someone to hurt you physically or emotionally or to force you to do something you do not want to do. We are offering the following services for young people and adults during Covid-19; One to One Support Sessions Your one to one session’s will be delivered by phone or Zoom, this is based on your preference. One off or ongoing sessions are available, depending on what you need and want. We will review the support regularly with you. Sessions will normally be held on a weekly basis, at the same time, for 1 hour. If you would like more intensive support, we can discuss and review this as we go. All sessions will be facilitated by a fully qualified Therapist. You can refer yourself or be referred by any professional supporting you or by your parent/carer (young person). If you are not self-referring, we want you to be involved in the referral process and ensure you are open to and ready for the support. Sessions will be safe and confidential. Confidentiality and its boundaries will be discussed with you during our initial session. Your one to one session’s will be led by you and we will build this support around your needs and the issues you would most like support with. If appropriate and if you agree, we have resources available to send to you via post or email. This will enable you to carry on supporting yourself between sessions and once the support has ended. Referral forms for our services are available upon request. To discuss the support further or to refer yourself or somebody else please email us at admin@everystepmatters.co.uk “Our lives begin to end the day we become silent about the things that matter.” Martin Luther King Jr.
