What
We have been commissioned to deliver our flagship Healthy Relationships project to primary schools in every borough in London!
The Healthy Relationships Primary School Project is a two-day project with one class from Year 5 or 6(approx. 25-30 pupils) who will become ambassadors for healthy relationships within their school.
Tender’s aim is to help students develop skills for building healthy and respectful relationships. We achieve this through creative, drama-based workshops that explore the healthy and unhealthy aspects of friendships, empowering students to consider their attitudes and behaviour in an age appropriate way, and encouraging empathy and respect for themselves and others.
During the two days students will:
Identify what makes healthy and unhealthy friendships and relationships;
Identify safe and unsafe touch, and learn the NSPCC Underwear Rule;
Recognise their rights as children and developing human beings;
Explore how pressure and control might be used in friendships and relationships;
Learn about supporting their peers and how to seek support if they need it.
Where possible, the two-day project culminates in a performance or presentation delivered by participants which our facilitators will prepare them for. This provides participants with the opportunity to increase their peer mentoring and presentation skills, and share key messages of the project with their peers from their own or another year group (approx. 180 students)
This project is fully funded, including all resources. We ask schools to support with finding an appropriate space for the project and supporting with the organisation of the optional peer sharing
