What
We have been commissioned to deliver our flagship Healthy Relationships project to secondary schools in every borough in London!
The Healthy Relationships Secondary School Project is a two-day project with one class of students (approx.25-30 students) from any year group who will become ambassadors for healthy relationships within their school.
Tender’s aim is to end domestic abuse by promoting healthy relationships between young people based on equality and empathy and to raise awareness of unhealthy or abusive behaviour in their current and future relationships. Our engaging, drama-based workshops empower students with the skills and confidence to build positive, respectful relationships with others, and consider their attitudes and behaviour in a safe, age appropriate way.
During the two days, students will:
Identify key elements of healthy and unhealthy relationships;
Recognise early warning signs of unhealthy relationships;
Explore the importance of equality and respect;
Understand and 'rehearse' personal boundaries and consent;
Increase self-confidence and empathy for others;
Increase their awareness of human rights issues with specific focus on Violence Against Women & Girls;
Develop awareness of where to seek or signpost support.
Where possible, the two-day project culminates in a performance or presentation delivered by participants which our facilitators will prepare them for. This provides participants with the opportunity to increase their peer mentoring and presentation skills, and share key messages of the project with their peers from their own or another year group (approx. 180 students)
These projects are fully funded, including resources. We ask for your support with finding a suitable room and organising the optional peer-sharing.
