What

Trans, non-binary and gender questioning young people are living in complicated times with rates of bullying, poor mental health, self-harm and suicide significantly higher than in cisgender young people. Whether you teach RSE or not, as a teacher you can play a key role in supporting transgender, non-binary and gender questioning young people.

Brook and Gendered Intelligence have teamed up to produce this new online course, Gender Diversity. With the expertise, tips, and guidance included in this course, you can feel confident understanding how you, your staff/colleagues and school can help trans young people to not just survive but thrive.

What can I gain from this course?

  1. Learn from the best – the course was created by Brook education experts and Gendered Intelligence with experience supporting gender-questioning, non-binary and transgender young people.
  2. Master inclusive language – use the right language and become a trans ally.
  3. Hear from transgender young people – Learn what they need from school.
  4. Deliver high-quality RSE on gender diversity – that’s also in line with the current RSHE guidance and the Equality Act 2010.
  5. Earn a Certificate to prove your commitment to creating an inclusive school environment.
