About Project
All voluntary organisations will be affected by GDPR and many are also being affected by the recent changes to expected practice in fundraising. This training is suitable for anyone, whether or not you are familiar with the current Data Protection legislation.
This course will:
- Give a thorough overview of Data Protection and how it relates to Confidentiality
- Explain the key changes that will be introduced in May 2018 by the new EU Regulation and the areas of remaining uncertainty
- Outline how organisations will have to comply – including keeping better records
- Discuss in detail the changes in the definition of consent and the new Transparency requirements
- Consider the recent changes in the Information Commissioner’s Office’s (ICO) regulation of fundraising & direct marketing
- Explain the workings of the new Fundraising Preference Service
This session will assist your efforts to become GDPR compliant.
