What
The Apprenticeship Accelerator is a new pilot programme designed to support young people in Harrow to access and apply for apprenticeships with confidence. Delivered over six to eight weeks, the programme combines in-person sessions with online support to build skills, confidence, and meaningful connections with local employers.
Workshops and Events
The programme includes four workshops delivered both online and in person:
-
Understanding Apprenticeships
An introductory session that demystifies apprenticeships and explores how they can lead to long-term career pathways. -
Application Ready
A practical employability workshop covering CV writing, online applications, and interview preparation. -
Employer Insight
A real-world insight session where participants hear directly from employers about work-based learning, expectations, and how to stand out in applications. -
Confidence, Communication and Resilience
A focused session supporting self-belief, confidence, and communication skills.
The programme concludes with an Apprentice Discovery Day, an in-person event designed to connect young people directly with local employers and apprenticeship providers. The event will feature panel discussions, Q&A sessions, networking opportunities, and refreshments, enabling participants to turn learning into action and establish tangible connections to apprenticeship opportunities.
