What
Hotpot Active Lives is a 26-week community programme for children and young people aged 7 to 14, combining weekly sports, life skills learning, and healthy food. Each 90-minute session is designed to keep young people active, build confidence and teamwork, and support overall wellbeing in a fun, inclusive and supportive environment.
Participants follow a rotating programme of sports and creative physical activities, including:
- Football
- Basketball
- Badminton
- Dodgeball
- Rounders
- Circus skills
Sessions are led by experienced coaches who encourage children of all abilities to get involved, try new things, and enjoy being active.
Life skills and enrichment
Alongside sport, the programme includes dedicated sessions focused on:
- Personal safety
- Practical life skills
- Building resilience
- Positive relationships
These sessions help young people develop confidence, awareness, and stronger connections within their community.
Food and wellbeing
Every session includes:
- Healthy snacks
- A nutritious hot meal to take home
This supports families with the rising cost of living while promoting healthy eating habits.
Harrow Change Makers
After catching up with over 7,000 children and young people, we created a report on their thoughts and worries about growing up in Harrow. We started the Harrow Change Makers Grant Programme where amazing organisations in Harrow that support children and young people offer FREE activities tailor-made for them!
