What
Term-time sessions for up to 15 children per group, including home schoolers, school refusers, and those waiting for school places, designed to support mental health, resilience, physical activity, and life skills. Sessions take place in local woodland settings, providing a safe, hands-on environment for exploration, play, and learning.
Activities include:

Den and shelter building, nature art, and bug hunts

Safe tool use and fire lighting

Storytelling and team challenges

Child-led exploration tailored to different ages, abilities, and learning styles
Session Approach:
- Each session starts with a group check-in and ends with reflection to support emotional literacy
- Gradual skills development: knot tying, fire lighting, tool safety, and independence
- Nature-based mindfulness, sensory exploration, and unstructured play to reduce anxiety and support emotional regulation
- Activities evolve with seasonal changes and children’s interests
