What
There are 3 aims:
- To increase the resilience of supplementary schools, particularly as they recover from the Covid-19 pandemic. This aim particularly refers to their financial resources, human resources (staff and volunteers), premises resources, and depth of teaching and organisational expertise.
- To enable as many disadvantaged children as possible to access high-quality provision in Maths, English, and Science. This includes ensuring that the quality of in-class teaching is as high as possible, learning is linked to the national curriculum and relates to children’s academic needs.
- To ensure that supplementary schools are safe, accessible, and have strong governance. This aims to ensure that they have strong background managerial processes such as safeguarding and other policies, are responsive to children’s needs, and adhere to best practice charity governance structures which keep them effective and outward-looking.
Please note that this project will be delivered only Mon-Fri from 9 am to 12 pm with visits at the weekend by arrangement.
