The session will provide participants with an insight into the critical issues relative to Hate Incidents and Crime, allowing you to improve your awareness of Hate Crime, how it affects victims and communities, and how to report and access support.
Recent hate crime statistics and feedback from community groups and people affected by hate crime suggest that hate crimes and incidents are under-reported. We know that hate crimes and incidents can have a serious impact on victims and their quality of life. It has a negative impact on the communities in which we live.
The aim of this training is to raise awareness of:
- What hate crime is and how it affects people.
- The different forms of hate crime.
- Procedure for reporting hate crime.
- Responding to hate crime.
Trainers: Stop Hate UK works alongside local strategic partnerships to tackle Hate Crime and discrimination, encourage reporting and support the individuals and communities it affects.
