Outcomes
After this training professionals will have :
• Clearer understanding of the challenges that autistic and ADHD young people face.
• Increased knowledge of Executive functions, communication and sensory differences in ADHD and autistic Young people
• Information on where to find the best support for the young people themselves
Who is this training for?
Any professional in Harrow who works with young people (up to age 25) can benefit from this training. That includes school staff, charities and social enterprises, youth group leaders and volunteers as well as many more!
Who runs it?
This training will be delivered by the Centre for ADHD & Autism Support (CAAS), part of HeadsUp Harrow.
HeadsUp is a consortium of 5 charities in Harrow providing specialised mental health support to young people in the borough who face additional barriers to accessing support. CAAS are a North-West London charity who support, educate and empower individuals diagnosed with ADHD or who are autistic, their families and the community through 1-1 and group therapy, courses, social clubs and services for families.
The CPD series
This is the second in a series of training that will be delivered by the HeadsUp consortium throughout 2023.
