What
Through our specialist approach to dance and disability, icandance works with mainstream and SEN schools to inspire conversations around creative expression, inclusion and what it means to be different.
For schools, icandance offers:
Dance Movement Psychotherapy: These sessions offer young people a creative space to explore and understand their experiences, address anxieties and fears, and develop enhanced wellbeing alongside the support of a skilled professional.
Performances: The innovative disabled young people in our iam Dance Company visits and performs their dance pieces in schools.
Workshops: Our young people co-facilitate workshops that spark discussions about disability, diversity, difference and creativity.
Staff training: We offer informative trainings on inclusion and disability for staff and the school community.
Talks and assemblies: Our young people and team offer talks and speeches on diversity, inclusion and expression.
