What
Lifetime Stories Project for in-School
The Lifetime Stories Programme aims to teach students the fundamental building-blocks of sharing personal stories, listening deeply to others and
improving communication skills in order to create a deeper connection with friends and family across generations.
We have been funded to offer the opportunity to one school in Harrow from January 2025.
How it works:
The programme consists of three two hour workshops delivered in school
- Workshop 1: How to Become A Storyteller Workshop (We introduce tools and techniques that slowly build each student’s confidence and storytelling abilities through carefully curated exercises)
- Workshop 2:Become a Story Explorer (We support students to become story explorers - with techniques like active listening, body language, story sparking techniques). Children are given homework to connect with a family member about an object that brings them joy.
- Intergenerational Session: We return to your school to facilitate an intergenerational session, creating a wall display to showcase the project
with written photos and stories. Children will be invited to bring along their chosen person (grandma / auntie / family friend) to help them build a story around an object that has brought that person joy.

"Our students gained insight into the art of storytelling, using words in spoken rather than written narrative. They loved exploring listening as well as speaking, developing verbal and non-verbal communication and having fun."
Alexis, Head of Immanuel College
“Your programme made our students stop and forget about the cool and technological world around them and delve into themselves for a minute… brings together empathy, listening, respect for others, confidence and resilience.."
