HAF SEND Easter Camp with Kids Can Achieve
About Project
KCA holiday scheme is for children and young people with learning disabilities. We run two schemes one for 5-12 years and one for 12-17 year olds.
Our holiday schemes are based at our centre in Harrow Weald and we run a range of fun, exciting and engaging activities. We focus on ensuring that all our children and young people are helped to do the things they enjoy and aspire to while they also learn, develop, and use skills. We encourage independence and support to build resilience. Our activities engage the young people we support including an outdoor play area with swings, bikes, and cars for children to play on, a soft play area, and lots of other toys and equipment to encourage the young people we support to be active. We will have a range of workshops including yoga, Relax Kids, drama workshops, music workshops and a sports coach who provides sports activities including archery, obstacle courses, and hockey. All the children accessing KCA receive Disability Living Allowance and most use a care package or short breaks funding to access KCA. Our HAF funding enables us to run a range of exciting activities and workshops and provide a hot lunch for children.
