What

NextGen Dev is a fully funded, transformative five-week technology and personal development programme for young people aged 14–25.
Created by the Blue Magpie Foundation, the initiative introduces participants to the world of coding, ethical hacking, and mobile app development, while nurturing teamwork, digital confidence, and creative problem-solving.

Delivered in partnership with schools and community organisations, NextGen Dev empowers students to explore the fast-growing technology sector through hands-on projects and guidance from industry volunteers. It is designed to open doors to further study, apprenticeships, and future careers in the digital economy.

How it works:

  • Schools and colleges may nominate a small group of students interested in technology.
  • The Foundation provides skilled teachers to lead engaging, practical sessions.
  • All staff are DBS-checked, certified in safeguarding and experienced in mentoring young people.

SEND friendly

We have some training or experience of Special Educational Needs & Disabilities and are able to accommodate children with low-level needs, we do not offer 1:1. Contact us to discuss how we can support your child.
