What
Using Breck's story, we deliver powerful, compelling online safety presentations to educate everyone on the dangers that children and young people face online from grooming, exploitation and abuse, as well as from exposure to inappropriate or harmful content.
Exceptional educational speaker sessions Breck's Story: We deliver online safety educational sessions that share Breck’s Story with children of all ages to empower them to protect themselves against online grooming.
We can also deliver sessions on fake news and misinformation, online bullying/digital citizenship, digital wellbeing and mental health, and Understanding AI.
Neuroscience backs up what we already know from our sessions – that the telling of the story of Breck is a uniquely powerful tool.
When we listen to stories, neural activity increases fivefold. Using Breck's real-world story is a unique angle that allows us to deliver powerful messages and get the type of response from attendees that generic sessions rarely get.
Each session contains tools and signposts to help the audience understand how to spot the signs of grooming, how to stay safe in response to these signs, and how and to whom to report their concerns.
Schools have often reported that it is very powerful to combine an in-person session for pupils and a virtual session for parents later in the day, this helps to continue discussions at home and helps parents feel more empowered when dealing with difficulties in their child's online life.
Q&A sessions are incorporated at the end of each presentation. We present the most up-to-date information through the emotional connection provided by a real-life story and, crucially, we provide information that is not currently featured in the school curriculum.
What do we discuss with young people...
We deliver age-appropriate sessions in schools for children and young people that include:
Breck's story
Gaming and social media
What is grooming?
Learning the signs of grooming
Speaking up and reporting
Where to find help
For secondary-age students, we also include references to radicalisation, county lines, gangs and sharing nude pictures, which are all types of grooming they may come across. Secondary students also watch our film, Breck’s Last Game.

Reviews
The Breck Foundation delivered outstanding online safety sessions at our primary school.
Teacher CPD was practical, impactful, and deeply engaging, equipping staff with clear strategies to spot and respond to online risks.
Student sessions were perfectly pitched—age-appropriate, interactive, and thought-provoking. Through powerful storytelling, pupils understood the importance of staying safe online in a way that resonated far beyond the assembly hall.
An exceptional programme that I would highly recommend to any school committed to safeguarding in the digital age.
