About Project

All Welcome!

Open Youth Club suitable for those from all faiths and none.

- It's a fun, safe, creative, relaxing drop-in space run by young people for young people.

- Weekly drop in youth club

- All the usual sports, games, arts n crafts, music, club room facilities (table tennis, snooker/pool, fusball table, Will console games, card and board games, nail and beauty bar)

- Light food and refreshments provided

This is an Open Youth Club suitable for those from all faiths and none.

- It's a fun, safe, creative, relaxing drop-in space run by young people for young people.

- Allows young people to escape stresses and pressures of the week and just be themselves, feel at home, and have fun with their friends.

Young People can:

- Drop in and stay as long as they like :

- Come with a friend(s) if they'd prefer not come on their own.

- We have lots of positive activities on offer:

Sports, Dance, Arts n' Crafts, Team Games/Challenges, Beauty and Nail Bar, Music & Video Studio Project, Board and Console Games, Big Screen TV, Table Tennis, Pool, Cooking & Baking.

- We cook and eat together most weeks [dietary needs catered for - advise early please!].

- We run trips out to activity venues every half-term (members go half-price)

- Youth workers Chris and Hope facilitate the programme and are good listeners! - all suggestions, ideas and feedback are welcome.

- We run a parent/guardian's WhatsApp chat group which makes regular communication & updates more simple and effective.

Membership Stream:

'Passport' reflects key youth work themes such as identity and membership, journey and maps, goals/ destinations, and access to new opportunities.

- We are developing 'Passport' membership booklet for all members to make their own (members only): chock full of inspiration and awesome practical stuff and member-only access /free bonuses.

- Members go half-price on all trips and events.

- 'Hot topics', 'Survival Guide', 'Success4life' (etc) discussion, debate, workshops: open to members

- 1-1 or small group mentoring, coaching, counselling opportunities: on request, open to members

- Volunteering, work experience and leadership development opportunities: on request, open to members

- CV writing, interview prep & job application opportunities: on request, open to members

- Ongoing communication and support for all members through the week via Social Media (WhatsApp and Instagram so far - more to come!)

Annual Membership £5 for coming year [Sept 2022 - August 2023].
