About Project

The wïsh centre runs award winning self harm peer support groups for young women and female to male transgender young people who self harm between the  ages 13-16. Recommended by the National Inquiry into Self Harm as a Model of Best Practice. Groups can also run for young men and gender fluid young people - please check what is available in your area.

Our groups meet every week after school for a mix of peer support and help with managing self harming and other things going on. Everyone stays in touch  during the week and you will have text and online support (closed Whats App Group) when you most need it. If you feel alone, like you don't fit in and no one understands then be brave enough to give group a try, You will never regret it!
