What
We are offering this FREE programme to secondary schools and colleges across Harrow for students aged 14+. Classes are typically between 20-30 young people, and we would expect the partnering school to recruit up to 2 classes to run over one day per week.
We are very flexible about what time of day our trained coaches deliver the sessions - whatever works for you and your students. We could do lunchtime or after-school sessions. We are already delivering this free programme at Park High School in Harrow (2019).
One of our coaches is a trained SEN rugby specialist and we are very keen to offer this opportunity to SEN groups and schools in Harrow. Project Rugby offers free tailored rugby sessions to SEN schools and colleges aiming to shatter the perceptions of rugby - Sessions can be held at colleges or local facilities Sessions are led by experienced coaches aiming to encourage participation in festivals and with our existing network of mixed ability rugby clubs.
Project Rugby is a joint initiative between Premiership Rugby and England Rugby designed to increase participation in the game by people from traditionally underrepresented groups Black Asian & Minority Ethnic People, People from Lower Socio-Economic backgrounds and Disabled People.
