What

Ready for Work is a fully-funded, two-workshop programme from Mental Health UK, supporting students aged 15-24 as they prepare for the transition into employment, training, or further education — a period that can bring real anxiety alongside the excitement.

Workshop 1: Preparing for Work helps students build confidence, recognise their own strengths, manage anxiety around the unknown, and develop practical skills for applications and interviews.

Workshop 2: Workplace Confidence & Resilience builds on this, helping students understand how their strengths translate into workplace skills, and developing strategies for managing challenges, communication, change, feedback and setbacks once they're in a role.

The two workshops are designed to run together as a complete programme, though they can also be delivered separately depending on your timetable or year-group needs. Ideal for Year 11-13 students, leavers' programmes, sixth form, or careers/PSHE provision — and delivered at no cost to the school.
