What
This professional course delivered by mental health charity Anna Freud, is designed to help you explore strategies to talk to children and young people about mental wellbeing and ways to build supportive relationships within your group.
Regulating feelings and emotions
This training will explore practical everyday strategies to use to prevent avoidable mental wellbeing difficulties.Learning outcomesYou’ll learn:
• why it is important for us all to promote good mental health
• how to support young people to understand and manage their emotions
• how to help young people flourish and be mentally healthy
Having conversations with young people about mental wellbeing
This course explores how to talk to children and young people about mental wellbeing and ways to build supportive relationships within your role.
You’ll learn:
• why conversations about mental wellbeing are important
• the significance of your role in supporting young people's mental wellbeing• how and when it is best to discuss mental wellbeing
• a range of practical skills to speak to young people about their mental wellbeing and continue to build positive relationships to support this
