Disclosure & Barring Service (DBS) checks/ CRB are an important part of recruitment process of a staff/volunteer. DBS checking can be a complex issue and often leaves applicants and employers with a lot of questions, this session will help those recruiting staff/volunteers understand who needs a check and the type of check they will need & the process. - Do you need to have a DBS check for your staff/volunteers? - What types of DBS checks are there who is eligible? - How long do DBS checks last ? - Completing the DBS form & ID checking requirements If your organisation requires DBS checks, staff/volunteers will also require the appropriate safeguarding training.
