What
Afghan Association of London runs a popular weekly Taekwondo club at Harrow Leisure Centre (Christchurch Ave, Harrow HA3 5BD). It's a mixed group of all abilities and ages. It is a great option for families or young people who want to improve their fitness through Taekwondo.
John Lyon’s Charity’s funding has enabled the Afghan Association to establish a Taekwondo Club in Harrow for teenagers and young adults. The Taekwondo club is one of the most successful projects in Harrow, providing excellent opportunities for young people to keep fit and healthy, and overcome isolation by making new friends and having fun. Considering the progress made in a short time, the Taekwondo Club is a story of success, exceeding all expectations. The Taekwondo Club is affiliated with the British Taekwondo Association as a quality assurance measure.
- Whether you are a beginner or have some experience, you are welcome to join our friendly and welcoming group. A trained Taekwondo instructor runs the class, and the club is affiliated with the British Taekwondo Association.
- You will learn new skills and make some new friendships at the same time. Many of our young people who attend find that taking part in physical activity like Taekwondo helps alleviate some stress symptoms and maintain good emotional health.
