What
This training session will be delivered by the CNWL Domestic Abuse Prevention Team and will provide an opportunity to strengthen your understanding of domestic abuse, both in general terms and with a specific focus on its gendered nature.
Gender plays a significant role in both the dynamics and societal responses to domestic abuse. As such, exploring this dimension is essential to deepening our understanding and improving our practice.
The session will invite participants to reflect on their own gendered assumptions and biases related to domestic abuse, including how language can reinforce or challenge these perceptions.
16 Days of Activism is an international campaign against gender-based violence that runs annually from 25 November (International Day for the Elimination of Violence Against Women) to 10 December (Human Rights Day). It aims to raise awareness of and encourage action against all forms of violence against women and girls.
