This webinar course is designed to support parents/carers of children/young people who have a diagnosis of Autism.

Our Understanding the Diagnosis – Autism webinar course is designed to support parents and carers of children and young people who have a diagnosis of Autism

Each of the seven sessions offers valuable insights and practical strategies — and you’re welcome to attend any that feel most relevant to your family’s needs.

Getting Started

There’s no cost to attend, but all participants do need to attend introductory sessions in order to be able to access the later sessions. This first session is tailored to your child’s stage in the diagnostic journey, and helps ensure you receive the most relevant and useful information.

After attending the pre-diagnosis introductory session, you’ll receive a link to register for the remaining six topic-based webinars.

What to Expect

The course has been thoughtfully structured to build week by week. Each session layers key information, practical advice, and strategies to help deepen your understanding and support your child or young person to thrive.

You’ll benefit from the professional expertise and lived experience of our team — bringing both knowledge and empathy to every session.

Whether you attend one session or all seven, you’ll find support, insight, and connection.

Please note, the introductory session is on a Thursday, and the remaining sessions are on a Tuesday.

  • 21st October Overview, Key aspects of Autism with Lived experience from a young person.
  • 28th October No session (half-term break)
  • 4th November Sensory Differences and strategies to thrive.
  • 11th November Understanding Communication and building self-esteem.
  • 18th November Executive functions, Behaviour and emotional regulation.
  • 25th November Understanding Behaviour, building your toolkit
  • 2nd December Self-Care and Next Steps for Parents and Carers.
