About Project

Many volunteer-involving organisations are not aware of the legal implications when working with volunteers. Our session aims to dispel myths and clarify your legal responsibilities. We also use actual case studies where volunteers have taken organisations to court, to help demonstrate bad practise when involving volunteers.

Training Content:
- Identify key issues
- The legal implications of volunteering
- The legal position of volunteers
- Volunteer contracts and agreements
- Reducing risk
- Rewarding your volunteers – what you can and cannot do
- Evaluating a legal case study and discuss the likely outcome

Participants will leave the course having developed their compliance with legal requirements and ensure best practice.
