What
A flexible in-person maths intervention for Young Carers who would benefit from some extra support in their maths. MathsMakers works alongside schools and Young Carer organisations to complement classroom teaching, delivering small-group tuition that builds confidence, strengthens maths skills and improves exam readiness. Programme length and content can be tailored to meet each school's needs.
Our Young Carer programmes are either run in the Young Carer premises or in-school where appropriate. The sessions can include young carers across different year goups. We try to include peer mentors, along side our maths Instructor, in each session so that the young people receive a high level of personalised support and 1-on-1 attention. Programmes can be adapted to suit your timetable and requirements as well as the commitments of the young carers.
