St Albans is fortunate to be able to employ a full time Youth Leader – the links above take you to the various pages.

St Albans provides for children and youth through a number of different organisations.  The Sunday School and Young Explorers meet on Sunday mornings most weeks during the 9:30 service and provide classes for groups, up to the age of 13. This is run by experienced volunteers.  The children come in to the communion service near the end and are present for the final hymn.

We run a Messy Church service on the 1st Sunday of most months.  This has a regular attendance of between 30-40 children plus their parents. The session is 2 hours and includes activities in the hall, a short (15 minutes) act of worship aimed at this age group in the church and is then closed with a children’s tea in the back hall.

The older youth 13+ meet twice a month during the 9:30 service and have a programme organised by our youth leader of social and development activities.

The choir meets on Thursday evening for practice and attends Sunday mornings.  Some of the children and youth belong to the choir and some are involved in services as servers and acolytes.

The Parent and Toddlers group is run by church members.  It meets in the hall on Wednesdays.  It is open to all young children and their parent / carers

The uniformed organisations meet throughout the week.  Brownies and Guides in the church hall and Beavers, Cubs and Scouts in the Scout Hut nearby.
