Supporting the Arts in Harrow 2024 Report Round 2

The primary goal has been to transform this narrative by providing local children and teenagers with opportunities to engage in enriching artistic activities, fostering creativity, building confidence, and supporting personal growth.

The Harrow Arts Program aimed to increase arts engagement across schools and communities by targeting underrepresented youth, giving non-participants a voice in arts programming, celebrating local cultural diversity, and developing collaborative networks through the Harrow Culture Forum.

nine YHF members received a total of £49,279 to deliver a diverse range of creative and performing arts programmes, in both school settings and within the community

The program drove youth arts engagement by fostering individual growth and inter-organizational collaboration. Participants gained confidence and skills through performing arts, with organizations like ArtPerUK, Crowning Greatness, and Synergy Theatre Project helping children develop performance abilities and teamwork. Crucially, the initiative strengthened partnerships between schools and arts organizations, creating sustainable pathways for ongoing youth arts involvement across schools like Shaftesbury, Whitmore, Park High, and Harrow High.
